CREW Nova Scotia Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in CREW membership!

All members of CREW must be professionals working in one of the *qualifying fields of the commercial real estate industry (QFCRE).

CREW Nova Scotia offers four classifications of membership based on the applicant's individual qualifications and experience in the CRE industry. Please review the membership criteria below and select the applicable membership classification for you. Persons serving in a support capacity (assistant or secretarial position) or staff position are not eligible for membership.

Full - open to individuals currently employed in a *qualified field of commercial real estate (see list below)
Affiliate - open to individuals currently employed, and with 5+ years of experience, in a field related to commercial real estate, such as furniture or flooring vendors, janitorial or security services, and so on
Student - Graduate - open to students enrolled full-time in a graduate or post-graduate program to further a career in commercial real estate
Student - Undergraduate - open to students enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) in a college or university undergraduate program intended to lead to a career in commercial real estate

2024 Membership Rates:

Full/Affiliate: $350 USD ($200 USD for applicants after June 15 for the balance of the calendar year)
Student (graduate or undergraduate): $270 USD ($170 USD for applicants after June 15 for the balance of the calendar year)

Applicants must read and commit to the following to be eligible for membership. By checking the box below and submitting the application, you are confirming that you have read and will commit to abide by the following terms and expectations of all CREW members. General Membership Terms I confirm the following:

I agree to update online or communicate updated contact information within 30 days to CREW Network if my contact information changes.
I agree to notify chapter leaders if, at any time, I am no longer in the CRE profession or am otherwise ineligible for membership.
I understand that membership terms are on a calendar year and end on Dec. 31. Dues must be paid annually to retain benefits: 45-day grace period ends Feb. 14.
I understand membership dues are due upon receipt of invoice from CREW Network, and no later than 120 days after invoice is initially sent. I also understand membership dues must be paid prior to activation or renewal of said membership.
I understand membership is tied to the individual and neither the membership, nor dues, is transferrable from person to person, either within a company or otherwise. If my company pays CREW dues, I confirm that I have communicated this to the proper company representative (and it has been approved).
I understand membership dues are non-refundable. If my company pays CREW dues, I confirm that I have communicated this to the proper company representative (and it has been approved).
I understand membership dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, but may be deductible as business expenses.
I certify that I am currently in good standing with all applicable licensing requirements of my profession. I agree to receive email and other communications sent by CREW (or will opt-out of marketing emails) I will not share the membership list with nonmembers nor inundate fellow members with my own sales & marketing emails.
I am in good standing with all applicable licensing requirements of my profession, and agree to abide by CREW Network's governing regulations, and to uphold the highest professional and ethical standards of CREW Network and my profession.

Expectations of Members I confirm the following:

I will respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all people.
I agree to embrace diverse perspectives as well as demonstrate civility and mutual respect, both to fellow members and to other professionals within the CRE industry.
I will strive to eliminate bias in all professional activities.
I will avoid personal attacks directed toward other members, guests, volunteers, sponsors, staff, service providers, and all others in attendance at events (in-person or virtual) or in other situations where our affiliation with CREW is likely to be displayed or acknowledged.
I will pay attention to surroundings and will alert the proper leaders/authorities if we notice a dangerous, disruptive, sexist, or discriminatory situation.
I will not engage in harassment, intimidation, bullying or discrimination in any form, nor will we make verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin or any other identified characteristic.
